All Tuesday Nights (except Wed.10/26 instead of 10/25) - 7:00-8:30 PM

PAST GUEST SPEAKERS & CAMPERS

Sam Malone: SHS grad 2010. Despite three different knee operations and agonizing rehab won a NCAA D1 national championship at the University of Kentucky.

Here is a line-up of our guest speakers from this summer's Scituate Basketball camps run through the Scituate Recreation Department. Sam Malone, Shannon Brady, Kelly Martin, Paul Considine and Coach Mike Eromin. Jared Curry is an honorary Scituate High School Grad 1997. Hard work must be done to make dreams come true. All of our guest speakers made this point clear: You got to work at this game everyday if you dream about competing with kids who play everyday. The choice is yours. There is no way around hard work. Coaches are not responsible for your skills. Scituate kids can do anything they set their minds to accomplishing.

Shannon Brady: SHS grad 2012 & D3 All-American Bowdoin College

Kelly Martin: 2013 SHS graduate & future D2 All-American Stonehill College

Paul Considine: SHS grad 1985 & UMass Lowell D2 National Champion 1987

Sean McCarthy: SHS grad 2008, played D1 at NJIT (New Jersey Institute of Technology), finished 1st year of professional basketball in Germany 2016.

Jared Curry: Honorary SHS grad 1997. Holy Cross 1997-2001. One of the best players in the history of the South Shore.

Coach Mike Eromin: SHS grad and captain 2001. One of the best coaches on the entire area. Coach Eromin is the Pembroke HS first assistant and JV head coach.

"No athlete that I know of on the South Shore outworks Kelly Martin in the off-season. I sure wish her work-ethic was contagious. There is a reason why some people can compete at this game and why some people can't. All of Scituate's athletes regardless of sport, but particularly basketball players should watch her summer individual work-outs at Kazlousky Park. They would see firsthand the price that must be paid to excel. It also might inspire folks to stop playing X-Box, maybe even start weight lifting and also figure out that you ever to have skills to play a skill sport like basketball." - Coach Poirier
