I am blessed and honored to have the opportunity to participate in my second A Shot For Life (ASFL) competition.  A Shot For Life is a nonprofit organization that raises money for cancer research through basketball.

A Shot For Life recently fully funded Dr. Curry’s groundbreaking advancements in cancer research at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH).  Dr. Curry is one of the best brain surgeons in the United States who has recently discovered a program that can extract cancer cells, manipulate the cells, and re-inject them, similar to a PRP Treatment. We also funded Dr. Curry’s project that formed a dye that allows doctors to better detect and remove brain tumors more efficiently. These two programs have shown great results and improvements with patients.

CEO Mike Slonina originally started ASFL to raise money for cancer research when his mother was diagnosed with cancer while he was in high school. Mike, loving basketball as much as he does, came up with the idea to shoot baskets for 24 straight hours as a fundraiser. The fundraiser was a huge success and A Shot for Life was created.

Being a member of the ASFL Family comes with the individual responsibility to raise money. Having family members who have had cancer and been cured through treatment at MGH, this cause is very important to me. ANY donations are greatly appreciated.

Checks can be written to: A Shot For Life, Inc.
Our address is 38 Pratt Rd, Scituate Massachusetts 02066 if you want to mail a donation.  If you want to make an online donation on A Shot For Life’s gofundme page the link is: https://www.gofundme.com/f/2020-a-shot-for-life-challenge After donating could you please mention my name in the comment section.

Thank you for your consideration and I hope to see you all soon,
